Daniel Williams, Counseling Intern (Virtual Only)

Are you feeling withdrawn, anxious, or unusually irritable? Perhaps you’re wrestling with overwhelming emotions, feeling disconnected from your true self, or struggling to balance life’s challenges. Whether you’re navigating mental health concerns, working through trauma, or seeking clarity in your personal or professional life, you don’t have to go through it alone. Together, we’ll uncover your unique strengths, build practical skills, and create a path toward a more peaceful, authentic, and fulfilling life.

With a background in crisis intervention, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals from all walks of life, including those navigating life transitions, identity questions, or reconciling faith with personal experiences. My approach incorporates trauma therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), life skills coaching, vocational counseling, and case management, offering compassionate, comprehensive care that respects your unique journey and values.

My calling to this work is deeply personal. As someone who has experienced the mental health system firsthand—encountering both helpful and harmful providers—I am dedicated to ensuring that everyone in my care feels seen, valued, and empowered. My approach reflects a commitment to providing support that meets you where you are, honors your beliefs, and helps you grow in ways that resonate deeply with your faith and identity.

Healing is a courageous journey, and each step forward brings you closer to the peace and purpose you’re seeking. Whether you’re overcoming trauma, managing emotions, or seeking to integrate different aspects of your life, I’m here to walk alongside you, offering tools and encouragement every step of the way.

Outside of work, I enjoy time with family and friends, caring for my dog, and unwinding with YouTube videos. A fun fact about me: I’m 6’11” (but not an athlete!) and am classically trained in music—an expression of creativity that has been a constant source of joy and connection for me.

Education:

  • B.A. in Sociology – Wayne State University
  • Master of Social Work (MSW) – Wayne State University (expected 2026)

If you’re ready to take the next step toward healing and growth, I’d be honored to walk this journey with you. Let’s connect and begin building a life that reflects your unique values, strengths, and aspirations.
